Brio Leisure, based in Cheshire, is a finalist in both the Digital Transformation and Education Programme of the Year categories at the ukactive Awards, which celebrate excellence across the UK’s fitness and leisure industry.
Matt Parker, managing director at Brio Leisure, said: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised nationally at the ukactive Awards, and it reflects all the hard work that our teams have put in during the last year.
“While we’re looking forward to attending the award ceremony in October, our focus remains on strengthening our services and keeping our community active and engaged.”
The Digital Transformation nomination follows Brio’s recent brand refresh and collaboration with Cheshire West and Chester Council to launch new digital platforms.
These include an updated website, a mobile app, and the introduction of artificial intelligence technology to improve customer service and retention.
The Education Programme of the Year nomination recognises Brio’s Teacher Training Academy, launched in January 2024.
The academy supports the development of new swim teachers in the borough and aims to boost workforce retention, expand access to swimming lessons, and address the nationwide shortage of qualified instructors.
Brio Leisure will find out if it has won at the awards ceremony on Thursday, October 30, in Birmingham.
The company delivers leisure, health, and wellbeing services across the borough, managing facilities and programmes designed to promote an active lifestyle for people of all ages and abilities.
