Earlier this month, Claire’s Accessories, in Foregate Street, reached a late stage in its closing down following the announcement it had collapsed into administration in January this year.
The business was bought out by investment firm Modella Capital last year.
Modella said it had made the “tough decision” to kickstart insolvency proceedings for the businesses.
And now a notice stating the business’s last day of trading is April 22 has now been attached to the window.
And it included a plea to give staff privacy about their futures.
It said: “This store has been given a closure date of Wednesday, April 22.
“During this time, we kindly ask that you please avoid asking our staff personal questions about our jobs and finances.
“We understand that any questions and comments may be well-intended, but they are private matters and can be upsetting at this time.
“Thank you for your understanding and respect towards Claire’s and our fantastic team.”
